PBP rank as Far Left

Meaning PBP can be seen as far left when voting

Overview

The People Before Profit party(PBP - Founded in 2005) is a non-sectarian party generally associated with far left views. Their manifesto received a score of -91% on the left/right scale meaning that they are a firmly far left party. However, their voting record received a score of -59% on the left/right scale, meaning that they voted as a moderate left leaning party would. This may be due to the fact that not much socialist policy appears in parliament to be voted on and there is the additional issue that the PBP only has a single member in the assembly which can mean results are overly reliant on a single member. Despite this, when looking at the voting record, there were rare occasions of right wing voting which pulled the score down for Gerry Carroll (the party’s single MLA) leading to the massive difference of 32%.
